POLICE have charged a Redlynch man with over 200 child sex offences after a search warrant was executed on 10 November and multiple electronic devices were seized.
Initially, the man was taken into custody and charges with three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 and two counts of possessing child exploitation material.
Now the man has been charged with over 200 offences including 26 counts of taking a child for an immoral purpose, seven counts of using a carriage service to access child abuse material, 61 counts of involving a child in making child exploitation material, 42 counts of making child exploitation material and 64 counts of indecent treatment.
Investigations are ongoing and police are providing support to those involved.
He is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today, 20 November.
