Ange Collins is a serial entrepreneur with a stable of businesses at her fingertips. She holds a big picture thinking mindset, coupled with an incredible zest to ensure other people in life and business achieve incredible results. Her outgoing nature and natural ability to ‘make things happen’ are strong reasons to engage in her products and services. Ange is a serious connector in business, she is results driven and dedicates her time to making a difference in business and within community.

Rhys spent half a decade sharpening his journalism skills while working with a local award-winning paper in the far north and was a key part of the journalism team that was awarded the 2023 QCPA Overall Journalistic Team Excellence Award for a Newspaper.

The Far North Queensland local has spent the last few years developing his talents as a wordsmith and takes immense pride and joy in sharing people’s stories, covering their events and informing the community about the things that matter.

He has experience covering all facets of government including Federal, State and local including elections and campaigns. He also has extensive experience in sport, crime, health, tourism, agriculture and general coverage.

By keeping his finger on the pulse of the Far Northern community, he has developed the skills necessary to educate and entertain readers and connect them with their community.

Born and raised in Cairns, Hanna has a strong connection to the people and stories of Far North Queensland.

She honed her writing skills with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Creative and Professional Writing) at QUT in Brisbane, during which time she was lucky enough to complete a semester abroad in Lille, France. There, she took advantage of the cheap flights around Europe, wrote about her travels, and taught English in her spare time.

After university Hanna survived four of the Melbourne lockdowns while working as a freelance women’s media writer before returning home to Cairns.

Hanna is excited to be a part of the Connect FNQ news team, engage with the Far Northern community and share the stories that matter to readers.
