Cairns Airport reopened

THE Cairns Airport has returned to normal duties as ex-tropical cyclone Jasper continues to move away from the region.

While operations have resumed, customers are being reminded to contact their airline directly for any specific flight information.

Cairns Airport chief executive officer Richard Barker has thanked the community for their cooperation during the cyclone.

“I also wish to call out the exceptional collaborative efforts and expertise of all airport stakeholders who have worked tirelessly together this week to provide for our region, while always prioritising safety,” he said.
