CAIRNS police have charged a 15-year-old Edmonton boy with multiple property offences last night, 7 January.
It is alleged the boy was part of a group who stole multiple cars over the weekend including a Toyota station wagon that was stolen from a Springbrook Avenue address on Saturday, before it was abandoned at Mallicoola Street yesterday.
Police dog Bally tracked the boy to a Cliffdale Street address and located him hiding behind a garden shed.
It will be further alleged the boy was involved in several incidents in the Cairns area in the last few days.
The 15-year-old Edmonton boy was charged with six counts of enter dwelling, three of unlawful use of motor vehicle, two of dangerous operation of motor vehicle and two of unlicenced driving. He will appear before Cairns Childrens Court.
