CELEBRATE the holiday season with a splash of generosity and a free swim during Mossman Pool’s third annual Toy Dive.
The Toy Dive benefits various local organizations, including Mossman Support Services, Goobidi Bamanga and the Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre and nearly 200 donations were received during last year’s event.
Mayor Michael Kerr said the Toy Dive, and the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal, were ways the community could support families who might be facing a challenging holiday season.
“The Mossman Pool’s third annual Toy Dive is a testament to the incredible unity of the Douglas Shire community,” he said.
“The team at the Mossman Pool are offering a free swim when you donate a toy, so don’t forget to bring your swimsuit and towel.”
The Toy Dive ends on 13 December and council will be accepting gifts that are new, unopened and for children of all ages.
You can deliver toys for the Toy Dive to the Mossman Pool, Port Douglas Community Hall and the Mossman Administration Building.
