EDMONTON Police have taken decisive action to disrupt the production and distribution of cannabis in the Cairns area as part of Operation Thiele, executing four search warrants across White Rock, Mount Sheridan, and Bentley Park.
Officers made significant discoveries, uncovering cannabis, cannabis plants, and related paraphernalia.
Among those charged was an individual from White Rock, 27, facing charges including producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs and possess utensils.
Additionally, a 20-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man from White Rock were granted drug diversions, indicating an alternative approach to handling their involvement.
However, the operation also involved the apprehension of minors, with a 14-year-old girl from White Rock facing multiple charges, including possession dangerous drugs and assault police officers.
Similarly, a 16-year-old girl from White Rock and an 18-year-old man from Bentley Park faced charges related to the possession of utensils, while a 19-year-old man from Bentley Park was charged with possessing dangerous drugs and possess utensils.
