Wilful damage, Cairns CBD
A 13-year-old Edmonton girl was charged yesterday after police received two complaints of wilful damage.
At around 1 pm, the girl was with a group allegedly causing a disturbance at a municipal building when they were asked to leave.
Police allege the girl kicked over a pot plant causing the pot to break as she left.
It will be further alleged the group went to an Esplanade business and sat down at a table. The girl allegedly started using a marker pen writing on the table. With the assistance of Cairns City Safe camera operators, the girl was located by police. She was charged with two counts of wilful damage. She will appear in Cairns Childrens Court later this month.
