A PAIR of Cairns youth have been arrested on separate property charges with some dating back several weeks.
On Friday 12 January, a 14-year-old Manoora boy was charged with multiple property offences.
It is alleged he was involved in a string of offences including break and enters at Cairns businesses in the last two weeks, and utilised stolen vehicles.
The boy was charged with five counts of enter premises, two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, ten counts of breach of bail and one count each of possess suspected stolen property, attempted enter dwelling and unlicensed driving.
The boy will appear before Cairns Childrens Court at a later date.
In a separate incident, a 15-year-old Manunda boy was charged in relation to an alleged theft at an Earlville business on 14 January.
It is alleged the boy had also been involved in various other offences across the Cairns area in the preceding days.
Police further believe the boy assaulted a corrections officer in Townsville by spitting on him.
The boy was charged with two counts of stealing, two counts of trespass, four counts of breach of bail and one count of serious assault.
He will appear before Cairns Childrens Court at a later date.
