PETER’S Off-Road and Outdoor was proud to fill an Australian Government order for remote coastal management and provide a fleet of 14 Polaris Ranger North Star six-seat crew vehicles and equipment valued at over $600,000.
The vehicles, renowned for their rugged reliability and modern amenities, will be strategically deployed to various ranger stations across 14 different islands within the Torres Strait.
Equipped with 2 and 4-wheel drive capabilities, along with air conditioning, heating, and seating for six passengers, these vehicles are well-suited for the diverse terrains and weather conditions prevalent in the region.
In addition to the vehicles, Peter’s Off-Road and Outdoor are supplying the ranger stations with helmets, 12-month service kits, and accessories.
As the specialist dealers of Polaris vehicles for Cairns and Far North Queensland for almost two decades, Peter’s Off-Road and Outdoor owners Peter and Marion Wandel said it was an honour to fulfil the significant order.
“As a locally owned business deeply rooted in the community, fulfilling this order holds immense significance for us,” they said.
“It’s not just about supplying vehicles; it’s about contributing to the region’s sustainability and development.”
Mr Wandel, who recently visited Thursday Island to provide induction training for the vehicles, said this order signified the trust and confidence that organisations have in Peter’s Off-Road and Outdoors’s products and services, a trust that has been built up over decades.
“We take great pride in being able to support local initiatives with quality equipment,” he said.
“We understand the terrain and challenges that our customers face, and we’re dedicated to providing them with solutions that enhance their capabilities and efficiency.”
