Public nuisance, Innisfail
Police have charged two men after an incident in Innisfail on February 18 Saturday afternoon.
It will be alleged that the two men followed a vehicle from Kurrimine Beach at about 3 pm before approaching the car on Edith Street.
It will further be alleged the two men confronted the driver of the vehicle, pulling him from the car and assaulting him.
A 22-year-old Moresby man and a 29-year-old Tweed Heads man have both been charged with Affray and are expected to appear in the Innisfail Magistrates Court on March 6.
Burglary and unlawful use of motor vehicle, Webb
Police have charged five youths after an incident in Webb on Saturday, February 18, evening.
It will be alleged that a house on Howe Street was broken into between 11 pm on Saturday evening and 5 am Sunday, and a vehicle was stolen.
The vehicle was located abandoned on Riverway Drive, Townsville after police deployed a tyre deflation device. Police located the youths hiding in bushland at approximately 3.30 am on Monday, February 20.
A 13-year-old Belvedere boy was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, entering a dwelling and committing an indictable offence, receiving tainted property, and two counts of stealing.
A 14-year-old Douglas boy was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 14-year-old Belvedere boy was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possessing drug utensils.
A 15-year-old East Innisfail boy was charged with unlawful motor vehicle use.
A 16-year-old Atherton boy was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possessing a knife in a public place.
All boys have had their bail refused and will appear in the Townsville Children’s Court later.
