A 44-year-old man has been charged after a man was stabbed at Bungalow in Cairns Friday afternoon.
It will be alleged at approximately 5.10 pm at a Morehead Street address, a 44-year-old man approached a second 44-year-old man and stabbed him with a knife to the upper back.
A 44-year-old local man was transported to Cairns Hospital in a serious but stable condition. Police arrested a 44-year-old local man at the scene and declared the property a crime scene.
The man has been charged with acts intended to maim/disfigure/disable.
His bail was refused, and he was expected to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court this morning Friday.
