Stolen vehicles located, Atherton
Residents of a Victoria Street address received a call from Cairns police station around 6 am Sunday stating they had sighted a vehicle belonging to them.
The residents discovered entry had been gained to the address, and both of their vehicles – a grey Toyota RAV4 and a red Toyota Yaris – had been stolen. Both vehicles were located abandoned, one in Edmonton and the other in Yarrabah.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information in relation to this matter to contact the police and quote QP2300467831.
Multiple wilful damage, Mareeba
Police are investigating damage to three businesses on Byrnes Street overnight. The initial report suggests that just before 2 am this morning, entry was gained to one business after a concrete paver was thrown through the window. No items appear to have been stolen.
Another paver was used to smash the window on another Byrnes Street business around 2.30 am this morning. Entry was not gained to that business.
Between 9 pm Monday night and 3 am, rocks were thrown at a third business on Byrne Street, cracking the glass in multiple places.
