A MOUNT Garnet man has been charged with a total of 30 charges, including six counts of evading police, after being arrested by the Far North District Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) yesterday.
Officers took the 31-year-old man into custody at around 3pm yesterday at a Woree business.
The man allegedly committed multiple driving and property related offences which included break-ins, stealing from businesses, fuel theft, dangerous driving and evading police as far back as September this year.
He also allegedly rammed a police vehicle multiple times in Mount Garnet on 5 October and again in Atherton and Evelyn on 28 October.
He was charged yesterday with a total of 30 charges including three counts each of dangerous driving and unlawful use of a motor vehicle, one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle intended for an indictable offence, seven counts of stealing, six counts of evade police, nine counts of enter premises and commit indictable offences and two counts of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offences.
He is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today, 31 October.
