CAIRNS police are appealing to the public for information that could lead to the arrest of a man who assaulted a woman at Earlville on Saturday 2 December.
Initial information indicates that just before 6am the man assaulted a woman outside a shopping centre on Mulgrave Road.
The man is described as First Nations in appearance, slim build, walks with a limp, and was wearing a dark coloured cap with a dark blue t-shirt and light grey coloured shorts.
Anyone who knows the man, or who has further information, is urged to contact police.
