State MP’s car stolen

MEMBER for Hill Shane Knuth has had his car stolen overnight from Atherton Hinterland Motel, Atherton.

At about 2am on Monday, 9 October, a person in a white hoodie was seen on CCTV footage entering Mr Knuth’s car.

A short time later the person was seen driving away in Mr Knuth’s dark grey 2016 Toyota Landcruiser Prado GXL.

Mr Knuth said the car was parked out the front of his motel room at the back of the premises.

“Police have advised that my vehicle was spotted in Mareeba early this morning driving recklessly,” he said.

“If anyone spots the vehicle, please report it immediately to Policelink 131 444.”

Mr Knuth’s car is one of ten vehicles stolen in the region in October, and 659 since the beginning of this year.
