TWO 13-year-old Edmonton boys were charged last night in relation to a break-in at Bentley Park on Tuesday, January 16.
Around 6:30pm, police received reports of four persons forcing open the roller door of a shed at a Resolution Drive property, after CCTV monitoring alerted the owner.
The Dog Squad was called to the location and police dog Bally was able to track and locate the owners cordless work tools in bushland nearby.
After viewing the CCTV footage, four alleged suspects for the break-in were identified.
The two 13-year-old boys allegedly involved were arrested after being located by police at Walker Road in Edmonton at 9pm, January 17.
It will be further alleged one of the 13-year-old boys was involved in other break-ins in the area.
One of the 13-year-old Edmonton boys was charged with two counts of enter dwelling, two counts of trespass and one count each of wilful damage, attempted enter premises and face disguised with intent.
The other boy was charged with one count of enter dwelling.
Both boys are due to appear before Cairns Childrens Court at a later date.
Investigations are ongoing with regards to the two other alleged suspects.
