A WESTCOURT woman has been charged with a number of traffic offences by officers from Cairns Highway Patrol.
It will be alleged at 11:40am Thursday, 16 May, the 29-year-old woman was driving a car on Grove St when intercepted by police.
Checks made by officers at the time revealed the woman allegedly did not have a drivers license.
It will be further alleged that two young children were unrestrained in the vehicle when it was pulled over.
The woman has been charged with one count each of driving unlicensed and contravene direction.
She is due to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court, June 5.
She was also issued two penalty infringement notices of $1161 each for the driving with unrestrained children in the car.
