What’s on: Christmas Eve at Guyala

HANNA SLOAN

GUYALA Café is ringing in Christmas in style this year with a specialty Christmas Eve dinner this Sunday.

The popular café began opening for dinner service five nights per week in November, which has been a great success and has allowed for the expansion of the menu.

Chef Luukas Trautner, who was instrumental in transitioning the brunch spot to an all-day dining venue, has devised a Christmas Eve set menu with optional additional courses.

The set menu features five delicious courses using fresh, local produce and creative flavours.

There are also three optional courses for guests to choose from, as well as the opportunity for wine pairings.

Guyala owner Oliver James is excited to be adding a Christmas Eve dinner to their calendar.

“We’ve had heaps of fun with our new dinner menu over the past couple of months and can’t wait to treat the community to something extra special with a hint of festive spirit this weekend,” he said.

Gluten-free, pescatarian and plant-based options are also available for those who make dietary requirements in advance.

The set menu starts at $110 per person, with a wine-pairing option for an additional $65pp and optional courses also available to add on.

UPDATE: tickets are now sold out, but keep an eye on Guyala’s Facebook for future events.
