Youth arrested after week-long crime spree

A 15-YEAR-OLD Westcourt boy has been charged with multiple offences after he was allegedly involved in a week-long crime spree, including breaking and entering.

The boy was allegedly involved in breaking into several homes and businesses in Earlville, Woree, Edge Hill and the Cairns City area.

Police believe the boy was also involved in other property and vehicle offences.

He has been charged with eleven counts of enter property, two counts of possess housebreaking implement, two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle and one count each of trespass, wilful damage, possess tainted property and unlicensed driving.

He was denied bail and will appear before Cairns Childrens Court at a later date.
